Coda Community Choir

When: Wednesday 7.15-8.30pm
Where: Southbourne Village Hall, First Avenue, Southbourne PO10 8HN
Cost: £7.00 per week

Coda Community Choir practices and performances benefit from the lovely acoustic of the village hall. Singing starts at 7.15pm and most singers join us for a cuppa and a chat at 7pm, before practices begin.

Singing is from musical score and the choir is divided into sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. Most singers read music although we take plenty of time to get to know the notes! It doesn’t matter if you don’t know if you have a high voice or a low voice; if you think you may have a voice somewhere, this choir will help you find it and give you confidence in your singing!

Coda Community Choir love performing and have given many highly successful concerts in Bosham, Southbourne and the surrounding area. Performances are often centred around a theme, and draw from the world of musicals, pop and folk. Recent music has included a powerful performance of ‘You Have Been Found’ from ‘Evan Hanson’, a beautiful medley of songs from ‘The King and I’ and ‘Corner of the Sky’ from ‘Pippin’.

Copies of each music score are available to buy at choir practices – usually not more than £2.50 for each song. Many great ideas for music come from the choir members and they all support each other to achieve some impressive harmony singing.

Let us know if you would like to try this choir and we will make sure we have all the music ready for you to join in with on your first free week. Find out more in our Choir FAQs.
