This group of vibrant women love making music and singing together. They have developed a great vocal sound and are becoming more confident with harmony singing and some more challenging songs. They are passionate about the choir and like to suggest their own music.
There are no auditions and you don’t have to read music to join this choir, and beginners and more experienced singers are welcome. Angmering Voices will help you find your voice and build your confidence in singing. Join us for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat before rehearsals from 5.15pm.
Angmering Voices has a real talent for performing, and their recent showcase performance was a great success. Highlights of the performance included the sixties classic ‘You’re My World’, a fabulous song from the film ‘The Witches of Eastwick’ and a highly memorable version of the hit ‘Hot Stuff’! These informal concerts give everyone a chance to share their love of singing and let their family and friends support their passion for music. At their choir performances and at other social events Angmering Voices collect for local charities and every year take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraiser.
Angmering Voices is linked with MusicSmart’s SingSing choir and usually work on similar music. If you know you are not going to be able to attend one or more of your Angmering Voices practices, you can attend SingSing as a guest singer instead. See our Choir FAQs to find out how this could work for you. Members of both choirs also meet at workshops and socials.
